Repairs and servicing for NordicTrack treadmills, bikes and ellipticals, at home or in your gym, across Brisbane, the Sunshine Coast and Gympie. Gymtechs is an authorised iFIT warranty and repair contractor, and every machine is diagnosed and quoted before work starts.
Yes, through iFIT. NordicTrack and ProForm are iFIT brands, and Gymtechs is an authorised warranty and repair contractor for iFIT Health and Fitness. The badge iFIT supplied to us reads Authorised iFIT Fitness Repairer.
Still under warranty? Contact iFIT first. NordicTrack's own support advice is that a warranty repair is approved by iFIT and then carried out by an authorised service provider. Where iFIT's warranty covers the machine and the fault, Gymtechs can be the technician who does that repair.
Out of warranty, or bought second hand? Book with us directly. Send the model and what the machine is doing, and the fault is diagnosed and quoted before any work begins.

The problems NordicTrack owners call us about most, and what usually sits behind each one.
Start with the simple things: the safety key is fully seated, the power switch at the base is on, and the safety switch in your meter box has not tripped. If the console still stays dark, the usual causes are the power cord, the lower control board or the wiring that runs up the upright. That's a job for a technician with a meter.
A belt that starts and then stops after a few seconds, or speeds up and slows down by itself, normally points to the speed sensor, the drive motor or the motor control board. Those parts report to each other, so we test them in order instead of swapping the most expensive one first.
When the deck won't rise or fall, or moves with a grinding sound, look at the incline motor, the signal from the control board, or something caught in the incline frame. Unplug the treadmill and check underneath for anything wedged in the frame. The incline is calibrated again once the repair is done.
A belt that slips under your foot, slaps or wanders to one side has usually stretched, lost tension or dried out on the deck. Tension and tracking are set at the rear roller, and the deck is checked for wear and lubrication. A worn belt or deck is replaced, not tightened past its limit.
A frozen screen or a class that won't load can be software or hardware. Restart the treadmill and your router, and look for a software update in the settings. If the screen then stays black, flickers or ignores your touch, the console, its power supply or the board behind it needs a technician.
Stop using the treadmill if you smell burning. A dry belt dragging on the deck, a slipping drive belt or a motor working too hard can all cause it. Running it on turns a small repair into a motor or board replacement, so unplug it and book a visit.
NordicTrack consoles show a code or message when a sensor or board reports a fault. Take a photo of the screen and send it with your quote request. The code tells the technician where to start and which part may be needed before the visit.
Noises that were not there before usually come from a roller bearing, a loose bolt, the drive belt or the motor. They rarely go away on their own, and a bearing replaced early is a smaller repair than one that has worn the roller.
The same four steps for a home treadmill in Buderim or an incline trainer in a Brisbane apartment gym.
Gymtechs technician arrived to do a diagnostic on my Nordic treadmill, had a blown circuit board. I was expecting to have to order and rebook service. He had a new board with him, installed and working perfect I could not be happier, highly recommended.
Great service from John & Jock had problem with control board for treadmill they sourced parts and got me up and running quickly. Thanks lads good job
Firstly they were the only business to return my calls / emails when looking for a repair person. And they arrived the next day to give me a diagnosis and then I was able to get a new console sorted and they were back within a day of my calling to fit it. Very neat / tidy and efficient. Would Highly recommend using this business.
Needed a treadmill mat replaced. Steve returned my call very promptly and ordered a new mat. The mat came very quickly and Steve was out to fit within a few days. Steve is very friendly and knowledgeable and answered all my questions and I would recommend to anyone that needs repairs or service.
We recently had an issue with our treadmill. Gymtechs Fitness Equipment Services were fabulous. They fixed the treadmill and in doing so they were prompt, reliable, efficient and knowledgeable. Highly recommend them.
A home treadmill that is serviced and looked after commonly runs for around ten years, so a machine a few years old usually has plenty of life left. Often, yes, it is worth repairing. When the frame and drive motor are sound, a fault in the belt, a sensor, the incline motor or a control board is usually worth repairing, because the costly structure of the treadmill is still good.
It's a closer call when the motor and the main board have both failed, or when parts for an older model are hard to find. The diagnosis gives you the facts and the price before you decide. On a newer machine, check the warranty that came with it first, as a motor or frame fault may be covered by iFIT.
